Now here’s another one of those discs I just can not say a lot about. I know Harem Scarem are Canadian, I know the band wasn’t born yesterday, and I know they are very successful in Japan. In this house, “Weight Of The World” is the first of their CDs to hit the tray, and it sounds all right. The melodies are good, there’s nothing wrong really, I just don’t get down on my knees in front of the monitors. This is AOR, maybe a bit heavier than most AOR bands, but I prefer music with a little more attitude and “erected wood” mentality. If you want it nice and melodic, and you don’t care to raise the fist and act rebellious to every CD, here’s one for you. Like I said, there’s nothing wrong with this CD, it’s all done in a professional way and there are no elements that turn you off, it just doesn’t excite me to death…
