( votes)Judas Priest in concert. Does it get any better? Well, in 1979, few could rival Priest’s live show, and fortunately they were captured on tape for the pleasure of millions. Unleashed in the east seems to be included in every kind of top 100 rock albums, or heavy metal releases, whenever a magazine decides to make one of those lists. And believe me, it deserves to be among the cream de la creme.
This show drew heavily on the material from their Columbia-releases, as well as their other classic album, Sad Wings of destiny, creating on of the best set-lists for a live-show. With opener, Exciter, they set the standard for the evening, rather excellent, by the way…The band is on a tremendous roll, and spits out; Running Wild, Sinner, The Ripper, The Green Manalishi, Diamonds and rust etc etc etc. For this re-release they have put on four more tracks, (Rock forever, Delivering the goods, Hell bent for leather and Starbreaker), making this concert album even more enjoyable (hard to believe, but it’s true)!
Highlights: Four more songs!
