Cobra Cult started out in 2015 as a project when singer/guitar player Johanna Lindhult (ex Ordogs) and bass player Thomas Jonsson (ex Circle of Chaos) started to wright some songs together.
In 2017 the band entered studio to record the 4-track-EP The Sunlight Tapes. On November 6th, 2018, the self-titled debut album Cobra Cult was released.
With some band member changes and current lineup consisting of Johanna Lindhult (guitar/vocals), Thomas Jonsson (bass, backing vocals), Carl Johan “Sillen” Sillén (drums) and Anders Martinsgård (guitar), in September 2020 Cobra Cult entered studio to record the second LP in a row, titled Second Gear, released March 2021.
