This Friday’s Guest DJs: MOTHERFASTER

Motherfaster

Motherfaster is the result of a bad idea, that was born after the end of a jam session, during the end of 2011. They are based in Athens with a common purpose – to extract the dirtiest side of their souls and present it as an audio insult.

After playing some gigs during 2012 – 2013, they took the request of their fans for an official release seriously. The recording process started in early 2014. In November 2014 the first single “The nymph and the god” was featured in the compilation CD Fear Candy, that comes with Terrorizer magazine, featuring also legendary metal bands Exodus and Obituary. Self-titled Motherfaster album was released in February 2015.

A few years later, the time came for the successor entitled Slower Father, that was released in December 2019.

This week  Motherfaster pass by to host the The Friday Guest DJ Hour Show

In fact, running Metal Express Radio takes almost all of his time. Is it worth it...? "Most times, yes," Stig says. "My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
