There’s a Fire in the Garden

The first time I discovered Doug Aldrich was when he played for Ronnie James Dio on the Killing The Dragon Tour. I thought he was a fantastic guitar player then and he’s only gotten better over the years. Aldrich joined the musical collective The Dead Daisies in 2016 when Richard Fortus departed to join Guns N’ Roses for their reunion tour. Holy Ground [review] is The Dead Daisies 5th studio album and their first with ex-Deep Purple bassist/vocalist Glenn Hughes. I can’t praise this album enough. It will surely be one of the top albums of 2021 and it only came out in January. I recently had the change to speak with guitarist Doug Aldrich.
