All-Star Metal Assault

Death Dealer lead by Ross the Boss has returned for another heavy metal attack with their 3rd record Conquered Lands – to be released worldwide November 13, 2020 through Steel Cartel Records. The band has an all-star heavy metal roster featuring Ross the Boss (ex-Manowar) Sean Peck on vocals (Cage, The Three Tremors, Denner/Shermann), Stu Marshall on guitar (Dungeon, Night Legion), Steve Bolognese on drums (Ross the Boss Band, Into Eternity), and newly added bass player extraordinaire Mike LePond (Symphony-X, Ross the Boss Band).

In Your Face

Conquered Lands was mixed by Stu Marshall with guitars, drums, and bass treated at Monolith Studios in Melbourne Australia by Chris Themelco,  while the mastering work was done by Maor Appelbaum in Los Angeles, California.  Stu Marshall talks about his mixing and mastering partners “Chris made some amazing things happen to the mix and sound of the instruments and what can you say about Maor?  He is the best in the business right now.  There is no reason to look for anyone else.  He has always been a big supporter too, which is great!”. Coming in at just over 46 minutes, Conquered Lands offers metal heads a no holds barred metal assault that keeps your head banging from start to finish.

Favorite Tracks

Death Dealer mixes classic Heavy Metal with elements of Thrash, Power, and Epic stylings all wrapped around powerful choruses that compel the listener to sing along. Stand out tracks include “Sorcerer Supreme” with it’s dark, mysterious sound and powerful vocals combining to create a great album opener. Another stand out song “Running with the Wolves” has that foot stomping beat and Accept like guitar riffs, topped off with catchy powerful vocals by Peck. Another cut that will stick into the brain is the rapid-fire “Hail to the King” with it’s blazing guitars and anthemic choruses.

Final Notes

With a lineup like this, it’s hard to not appreciate the precision metal that Death Dealer delivers on Conquered Lands. The drumming is fast, precise and breathtaking. The guitars and bass are all perfectly executed, as the vocals are layered over the top like icing on a Heavy Metal cake. Only 3 tracks will reach the streaming platforms as this is an old school campaign directed at the True Metal supporters and long-term fan engagement. Death Dealer has given fans another well produced collection of songs that belongs in every metal head’s collection.
