WARKINGS – Revenge

Revenge is the latest upcoming release from International Power Metal band Warkings. They claim no country of origin, only to have “escaped from the realms of obscurity and stolen their souls from the Lord of the abyss”. Members include Tribune, Vocals, Crusader, Guitars, Viking, Bass, and Spartan, Drums.

Revenge is a strong record musically. The production is excellent. The vocals are strong and melodic. The guitars are well done, with a strong Zakk Wylde influence on the lead work. The drumming is excellent. The songs are well written and arranged. There are some great riffs and hooks throughout. “Mirror Mirror” has one of the strongest choruses and has more of a groove than the typical Power Metal gallop. “Sparta” has a big chorus as well, and a cool balance between that and the growled guest vocals by Queen Of The Damned.

Most of the songs on Revenge are solid. Fans of Power Metal, Viking Metal, Epic Metal, and fans of Hammerfall and Warkings previous releases will most likely find something to enjoy here.
