Wings Of Rage is the 25th full-length studio record from Germany Heavy Metal Band Rage. Formed in 1983 by lead vocalist and bassist Peter “Peavy” Wagner, the band has had numerous members and configurations. The current edition is a three-piece, featuring guitarist Marcos Rodriguez, and drummer Vassilios “Lucky” Maniatopoulos. For the 37 years since its inception, Rage has consistently released music, and Wagner has been the captain of the ship for the entire ride.

Wings Of Rage is a very good record. Top-level musicianship, excellent production, and interesting songs make this record a definite worthwhile listen. Elements of Symphonic Metal, Power Metal, and even some progressive flavor punctate the solid foundation of Thrash and old school Metal, and yet Rage infuses some great melodic content as well. Wings Of Rage kicks off with “True”, a very heavy track with a surprisingly hooky chorus. Track 2, “Let Them Rest In Peace” is another big hook chorus, followed up with a thrashy breakdown.

Overall, Wings Of Rage has a lot of variety to offer without ever straying too far from its core strengths and offers great melodic content without sacrificing the meatiness of a quality Metal record. Fans of Heavy Metal, Power Metal, Thrash Metal, and Rage fans should give ear.

Red Reign toured with Tesla in 2017, and shared the stage with Dokken, FireHouse, Lita Ford, Kix, Quiet Riot, and others at various dates around the US in 2018. Stevie heard his first KISS record at the age of 6 and was immediately hooked on Rock and Roll guitar. Over the course of years his tastes evolved, graduating from KISS to Ozzy and Van Halen; and then into Hair Metal. Over time, harder and faster music drew him. Bands like Metallica, Pantera, and Anthrax led the way, and Killswitch Engage took him over the top. Stevie has a deep passion for the guitar, not only playing them, but building them as well.
