Great energy opener for Twins of Evil tour
Friday night in Portland, Oregon the audience was treated to an energetic opening act: Palaye Royale. I was not familiar with this band previous to the concert, other than catching about 3 videos the late night before the show. On video, the band is a 3 piece, slick rock band with almost a pop feel. Live they take on a whole different energy.
Vocalist Remington Leith was in great form singing the Stooges classic “I wanna’ be your dog”. I felt more like I was at a punk show, and that was great.
Great supporting players
I can’t find the names of the supporting players in the band, but they were all fantastic here in Portland. With the solid drumming of Emerson Barrett to drive the band, they put up a strong showing to open what a lot of people would consider a pretty classic metal tour.
From what I could find out, this is the setlist for the tour. I recommend this band, and I think if you are not too ready for Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, you will really find something great from this young band.
