( vote)Some of the most enjoyable new bands out today are the new, Old-School Thrash bands like Striker and Aerodyne, and now, Rezet. Deal With It is the band’s forth full-length studio album although the act has had a slew of demos and EPs mixing in over the years since their early 2000s beginnings. On this release, Rezet nails the perfect mix of fresh, thrashy aggression and shout-able, catchy metal hooks.
Guitarists Heiko Musolf and Ricky Wagner (also the singer), launch short but intense solos left and right, adding to the chaotic nature of the band’s sound. Rezet’s rhythm chops are tight and fast, just as any self-respecting Thrash band should be.
From the initial, break-neck paced “No Plan B”, and “Thunder Raiders” to the lengthy closing track “Pile Of Shards” Deal With It will please any level-headed Thrash fan and also much of the Classic Metal crowd in general. “Treadmill To Hell” in particular, is an infectious song and will serve the band well as a single. The accompanying video is a no-nonsense, Painkiller inspired piece and fits perfectly with Rezet’s overall vibe and attitude. Even though this band is, in some ways, still a new band (considering the age of the sub-genre), at this point they have proven their conviction and dedication to the scene. Deal With It is a strong statement that they’re not backing down and refuse to aim for anything other than the top.
