( votes)An album with as many allusions to horror as their name suggests, Ichabod Krane present Beyond Eternity. Complimenting their Traditional Heavy Metal sound, Jeff Schlinz’s vocals emit intense vibrato with cod-busting screams somewhere between Rob Halford and King Diamond … and the rest of the band also deliver a solid performance. This album is loaded with nine tracks displaying names like “Metal Messiah” and “Whisky Angel”. In listening to this, you’ll settle into a nice balance of evil, drinking, and non-sissy romance.
Beyond Eternity not only has nostalgic appeal, it truly sounds as if it’s from 30 years ago. That both helps and hurts, as it rings true but could stand to have a little more production value. But nevertheless, Ichabod Krane have created some muscular, reliable audio for anyone who loves that Classic Metal feel.
