Germany has always been credited with planting the initial seeds of Power Metal, and certainly bands like Helloween, Gamma Ray, and Iron Savior (yes Kai Hansen has been in all 3) have led the way for numerous derivatives of their higher octave (yet gritty), up-tempo style. Iron Savior, in particular, was once an experiment that took root, now resulting in the band’s 9th studio release: Titancraft.  There’s nothing particularly new or innovative here, but it’s a sure bet with any Iron Savior release that your Power Metal craving will be satiated … and you’ll find this release is no exception.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
