The New Roses have released their sophomore effort entitled Dead Man’s Voice. Hailing from Germany, one is apt to expect the band to either be a Power or Traditional Metal band, but The New Roses are everything but that. Perhaps still searching for their true identity, The New Roses play Hair Metal sometimes, Bluesy Hard Rock other times, and the band even teeters into the realms of Classic Rock a la The Black Crowes. Perhaps best suited to be a Hair/Glam/Sleaze Metal band, it matters not what their flavor du jour may be, The New Roses have done it well.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
