Swedish Progressive Power Metallers Tad Morose latest offering is entitled St. Demonius, which is a play on the word “Sanctimonious”, because, of course, there has never been such a person canonized. Tad Morose is known for being a tad different than others in the pack, relying heavily on the glorious “riff” first and foremost, and it’s worked well for them in the past.

St. Demonius topically focuses on the twisted nature perceived within organized religions, and that quite naturally feeds into a darker feel to the album. The almighty riffs are there, but the weightiness within many tracks tires quickly.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
