The Storyteller is Power Metal band out of Sweden that has a strong handful of albums on their resume thus far, and Sacred Fire is their latest offering.  Their brand of Power Metal is generally no frills – plenty of speed in drumming and riffing and the occasional impressive solo or lead break.  The band’s weakness is vocalist L-G Persson – he tries to come through majestically and poses as if he has something important to say, but the bottom line is he’s too strong in the mix and the songs simply have too many lyrics, making for a very average album.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
