Devil’s Train is a band based in Greece, and is made up of talented musicians including ex-members of reputable bands such as Mystic Prophecy, Stratovarious, and Evergrey.  The band hit the streets with their self-titled release in 2012, followed up now by their sophomore release entitled II.  The music of Devil’s Train is about as basic and no-frills as their album titles – they have opted for a thick, Modern Doom Metal sound that comes across as a blend of bands such as Thunder, Evergrey, and Soundgarden.  Sometimes it works, but other times their 11 original tracks feel repetitive and unimaginative.

    Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
