Frontiers Records latest “blue light special” is the pair-up of vocalist Michael Sweet of Stryper and axeman George Lynch of Dokken and Lynch Mob fame. The album is entitled Only To Rise, and James Lomenzo (bass) along with Brian Tichy (drums) round out the players. The album contains 12 quality tracks of Melodic Hard Rock/Metal, and Sweet performs spectacularly. His range is impressive and his lyrics are both insightful and catchy. Lynch was entrusted to write the riffs for this album, and handles that task well – just nowhere in the league of what fans came to expect during Dokken’s heyday.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
