( votes)Blood God is a fairly new band and their release du jour is entitled Blood Is My Trademark. Stylistically, Blood God plays an aggressive, brash style of Metal that borders between Traditional and Thrash. If anything, with Mr. Debauchery’s gritty and raspy vocal style, Blood God sounds like a cross between Brian Johnson-era AC/DC and Overkill. Lyrically, the band leans toward topics that fit their album’s title – blood, guts and battles are sensationalized and celebrated, which from the get-go may not be for everyone. However, mixed with the gore is some quality songwriting and (believe it or not) catchy melodies.
