Steel Prophet is a veteran USA-based Power Metal band, surviving largely amid mass obscurity.  Their current release, much awaited by fans of the band, is entitled Omniscient, containing 14 tracks, 1 of which is a cover of Queen’s mega-classic “Bohemian Rhapsody” … a total disaster (if not a disgrace) and something unnecessary that should have been avoided.  The album starts out very strong with the first 2 tracks, “Trickery Of The Scourge” and “When I Remake The World,” but quickly takes a turn for the worse and never recovers.  Buy those first two on iTunes and pass on the rest.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
