KenZiner is a Finnish Progressive Power Metal band headed up guitarist extraordinaire Jamo Keskinen.  The band was formed in 1998 when KenZiner signed to a 2-release deal with Leviathan Records out of Atlanta, USA, but went into hibernation until 2012 when Jamo signed with Power Prog and The Last Horizon was created.  Now a totally new band, KenZiner plays a crisp and clean, yet powerful, form of Progressive Power Metal, and vocalist Markku Kuikka, although having a slightly detectable Finnish accent when singing, fits the band’s musical style well.  Fans of this subgenre will find plenty to enjoy in KenZiner.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
