Veteran Swedish Sleaze Rocker and Producer Chris Laney recently formed Laney’s Legion and has issued a self-titled debut album. Sweden is a true hotbed for the 2nd generation of Hair/Glam/Sleaze Metal, and Laney’s Legion shows that they know the formula well. Laney shares guitar duties with newcomer Rob Marcello, and these dual-axemen deliver some of the tastiest guitar riffs and impressive solos heard in the genre since George Lynch during the Dokken heyday. Laney performs commendably at the microphone, and by and large keeps the lyrics light and fun, making for one of the best Hair/Sleaze Metal albums of 2014.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
