Onward was a USA-based Power Metal band that disbanded in 2012 due to the death of their vocalist, Michael Grant. Evermoving was the band’s first release (2001) and is being reissued. Impressive as all get out is the guitar talents of Toby Knapp — if you haven’t heard of him, he’s about as close stylistically to Randy Rhoads as anyone ever has been. The only “problem” with Evermoving is Knapp’s wonderfully “rough” guitar playing is paired with the typical “clean-sounding” Power Metal vocals and rhythm section (and that blend doesn’t pair up), but Knapp’s guitar performance is worth taking notice.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
