Alien Ken is a multi-dimensional musician from Norway, perhaps known best for his work under the K[nine] band insignia. Alien Ken’s latest release, entitled Contact, is a true “solo” record – he wrote all 9 tracks, played each of the instruments (with the help of an undisclosed number of “special guests”), and released the album independently. Having full control allows Alien Ken to exercise full discretion in delivering his end product, and there’s a healthy meshing of subgenres within Contact. Traditional/Hair Metal are the most prevalent, but the album, though marginally enjoyable, seems to be missing that “something” to cause excitement.

    Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album.
