Pleonexia hail from Italy, and Break All Chains is their debut release. Pleonexia combines Traditional Metal riffs with Progressive/Modern rhythms, coupled with occasional tongue-in-cheek lyrical patterns that keep things off-kilter. Strangely, within the confines of each track’s beginning and ending, many of the 10 included on Break All Chains are both good and bad. And, not uncommon to the Progressive subgenre, many Pleonexia songs include twists along the way… the band belts out awesome riffs at some junctures, while at others they wander a bit. The overall “average” rating for Break All Chains is a result of that inconsistency.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
