Sovversivo is an Italian-based 4-piece Traditional Metal band that originally formed in the late ‘90s, and Falling Deep is their second album. The name “Sovversivo” translates to “treasonable” or “subversive”, which may come across to make you think the band’s roots are deep within Progressive Metal. Not at all the case, however, as Falling Deep is filled with thick, crunching riffs along with a heavy drum sound and catchy lyrics provided by Andrea Uboldi, whose style is a bit guttural, but fits well into Sovversivo’s brand of Metal. If you like the band Lordi, Falling Deep is a sure bet.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
