Sideburn is a Swiss band that plays their brand of Hard Rock in the vein of Bon Scott-era AC/DC. Electrify is comprised of 14 tracks of straight-forward, down-and-dirty Hard Rock with simple (yet creative) riffs and refreshingly catchy lyrics. Roland Pierrehumbert handles the microphone admirably well for this “raw” style of music, at times sounding like a polished version of John Fogerty from the Classic Rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival – all the way down to melding in occasional harmonica play. Overall, Sideburn shows that Hard Rock need not be complicated … in the end, if it’s good, then it’s good.

    Dan is a former partner at Metal Express Radio, and also served as a reviewer, photographer and interviewer on occasions. Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album.
