Coming from Canada, Famous Underground has released their self-titled debut. Led by vocalist Nicholas Walsh (Slik Toxik, Revolver), Famous Underground features 11 tracks that (at times) vary considerably in style. Several of the songs sound like they could have been written by Bon Jovi in the early years, while others are a bit nastier à la Guns N’ Roses, and still others come through with a modern flare and could easily fit in with the likes of the band Disturbed. Kudos to the band for success amid variety, but the album’s unpredictability and lack of continuity are also its weaknesses.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
