Coming at you with their 15th studio album is the “legendary” Canadian band Anvil. Lips Kudlow and Geza Reiner (along with new bassist Sal Italiano) again invoked the talents of Bob Marlette (Alice Cooper, Saliva, and many other bands) to produce Hope In Hell, and the investment paid off. Production-wise, the powerfully clean sound from 2011’s Juggernaut Of Justice is again apparent, however, Marlette kicks it up a notch by giving the album an ominous and doomy feel compared to any of Anvil’s prior releases. Hope In Hell is a winner, and congrats to Lips/Geza for being willing to evolve.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
