De La Cruz is an Australian Hair Metal/Glam Rock outfit offering their first full-length release.  The band takes a simplistic and deliberate approach to their Glam (similar to heyday Warrant), but with a thick and raw musical edge.  Depending on any particular song’s mood, that edge is both exacerbated and subdued by vocalist Roxxi Catalano, who can come through unpolished like Hair Metal’s version of Dave Mustaine, or sleek and smooth a la Joe Elliott.  Street Level may be inconsistent, but tracks like the energetic opener “Street Level” and emotive closer “Shine” help sell this band as a worthy listen.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
