Shannon is a Melodic Hard Rock band from France, and their new album, Circus Of Lost Souls, is comprised of 13 solid tracks that sound fresh and incorporate plenty of energy and solid guitar riffs.  On the downside, vocalist Olivier Del Valle is a talented singer, but his performance is too dominant within the mix, and he flat out misses notes in several of the songs, which breaks some of the euphoria that this album otherwise offers.  A number of recognizable guests perform on this CD, and fans of Talisman or modern-day Krokus should definitely give this one a spin.

Based out of Indianapolis, USA he was first turned on to Hard Rock music in the mid-1970s when he purchased Deep Purple's Machine Head as his first album. He was immediately enthralled with the powerful guitar sound and pronounced drumbeat, and had to get more! His collection quickly expanded to include as many of Heavy Rock bands of the time that he could get his hands on, such as Ted Nugent, Judas Priest, and Black Sabbath, to name just a few.
