( votes)Creatively entitled Demo 2006 comes three fresh and fruity tracks from Oslo-based Dead Man’s Hand, which with an exciting mix of Thrash and At The Gates-influenced Death Metal, clearly they’re onto something here. Led by the riffing of guitarists Martin Kandola and Jon Carlsen, the band sounds heavy and firm, but still melodic, and although none of the songs are revolutionary or inventive, the band is already well on their way to finding their own sound.
“Bulldozer” is the most melodic and “Swedish” of the three, while “Corrupting In Solitude” carries the most notable Death Metal influence, and the opener “Murder:Anger:Vengeance:Instinct” (oh, those poetic song titles …) relies the most on 80s Thrash. All three are strong compositions, and as there’s really no major complaints to be made, the future should look bright for these young men.
