This Week’s Guest DJs: ROZARIO

Rozario, the new Norwegian hard rock band, is ready to show the world what they’ve been working on for the last couple of years. They’re all brought up with the classic hard rock and heavy metal music from the ‘70s, ‘80s. The result is a list of songs inspired by this, but with a clear, modern sound with their own distinctive character based around vocalist David Rosario and his lyrical universe.

Rozario’s songs are best described as solid, hard-hitting, yet melodical and catchy with verses always leading up to choruses that makes you wanna throw your fists in the air and sing along from the top of your lungs. All this masterly delivered to you from guitarist Stein Hjertholm, drummer Per-Helge “Peppa” Bruvoll and bassist Anders Halsan Engum. The band is completed by the young new guitar hero Johan Jamtfall Eriksen who impressively delivers fantastic guitar solos and sprinkles his magical dust all over the songs.

The band has worked with producer Trond Holter (Wig Wam, Holter, Jorn). He has managed to bring out the best in Rozario. The sound is truly impressive. Where keys were required, Dag Selboskar (Da Vinci, Memoria Avenue, Zelbo) helped out and completed the picture.

Rozario might just be one of the most exciting new bands on the exploding new Norwegian metal scene, and their self titled debut album is out this very Friday!

We’ll play a handful of selected killer tracks from the album after the band has introduced 10 of their favorite Hard Rock and Metal tracks of all time.

In fact, running Metal Express Radio takes almost all of his time. Is it worth it...? "Most times, yes," Stig says. "My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
