In the rockin’ year of 1989, Great White didn’t just rest on the success of their album Once Bitten – they cranked it up to …Twice Shy, and boy, did they make waves! This cleverly titled album featured their killer cover of Ian Hunter’s “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” which catapulted them to even greater heights.

Picture this: The band was gallivanting across Europe, sharing stages with legend like Alice Cooper and Britny Fox. It was in the midst of this whirlwind tour that Metal Express Radio got the scoop. As we rolled up to the hotel, who do we bump into but the one and only singer, Jack Russell? But Jack, in true rockstar fashion, was lacing up his running shoes for a jog. No worries, though – drummer Audie Desbrow had no plans to jog anywhere. He was stationed firmly at the bar, raising a glass to celebrate the album’s monumental achievement of selling over 2.5 million copies in the good ol’ USA.

Now, prepare your ears for Audie’s tales of the new Great White album, the mystery behind some albums featuring different tracks, and the story of how he hitched a ride into the band after jammin’ with Russell in another crew before the Great White journey began.
