Fall of Earth is a relatively new Metal band that has been making waves in the music industry with their unique sound and impressive live performances. The band’s latest album, From the Ashes, showcases their growth as musicians and their ability to create a cohesive and powerful album.

From The Ashes

From the Ashes opens with the track “Medusa,” a rather long song that starts this album out in the right direction. The heavy hitting vocals mixed with the breakneck speed of the guitars and drums instantly sucked me into this album. Although the next song, “The Dead And The Soon To Be,” has a totally different feel from the first track, it still hits pretty hard. This song opens up the vocal range of Alex Rye and shows that he’s capable of doing much more than just screaming into the mic.

The album continues with “Path To Self Destruction,” a fast-paced track that showcases the band’s technical skill and precision. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with intricate riffs and solos that keep the listener engaged. The vocals on this track revert back to the more guttural sound like they were in the opening song but have done a nice job blending a cleaner sound in the mix.

One of the standout tracks on the album is “Crossroads.” This is the longest song on the entire album at more than nine and a half minutes, but it gives the gang a chance to show off their full range of talent in one song. The drum work on this song is steady and mellow, which allows the guitar work to stand out with the many breakdowns and semi-solos that are thrown in. If you listen closely during the song, you can hear hints of Twelve Foot Ninja and even some Allegaeon (Gray Matter Mechanics, in particular) coming out.

If I had to pick a song off of the whole album to jam out to, it would definitely be the title track, “From The Ashes.” The growling vocals combined with an occasional scream thrown in for good measure hit home every time. The guitar work is more intricate than other songs as well. As far as drumming goes, it’s just heavy and on point. It drags the rest of the song along with its fast pace and forces it to keep up.

Overall, From the Ashes is an impressive album that showcases Fall of Earth’s growth as musicians and their ability to create powerful, impactful music. The band’s unique sound and technical skill are on full display, and Rye’s vocals are a standout feature throughout the album. From the Ashes is a must-listen for any Metal fan, and Fall of Earth is a band to keep an eye on in the future. Look for them on tour in Canada and many other places.
