Thundermother are a Swedish all-female rock ‘n’ roll band that were formed by guitarist Filippa Nässil in fall 2009. Almost 16 years later, they’ve grown as musicians and individuals through lots of touring and various lineup changes. Yet, their message of fighting for rock ‘n’ roll remains the same. Their hard work and musicality caught the attention of German hard rock band Scorpions, who invited Thundermother to join the German rockers’ North American run of the Rock Believer tour in 2022. Shortly afterwards, the two groups teamed up again for the European run of the Rock Believer tour in 2023. Thundermother have released six studio albums, including their latest one, Dirty & Divine (2025), through AFM Records.
Lana Teramae of Metal Express Radio had a chat with Nässil about Dirty & Divine, how being a mom has helped her find balance in life, bassist Majsan Lindberg’s return to the band, why “Hellevator” was never released on a studio album, and more!
Dirty & Divine is currently out now through AFM Records!
