This Friday’s Guest DJs: REVIVER

This week the members of REVIVER will host the Friday Guest DJ Show! The Dutch Heavy Metal band recently released their third album Carnival of Chaos on December 13th, 2024. This conceptual heavy metal masterpiece takes listeners on a journey through time, exploring the mysterious world of the Knights Templar through 12 powerful tracks. Carnival of Chaos showcases REVIVER’s signature sound, characterized by powerful high-pitched screams, dueling guitar battles, stainless steel riffs, striking drums, and solid bass lines. Drawing comparisons to legendary acts like Crimson Glory, Agent Steel, and Judas Priest, REVIVER continues to strengthen their position in the Heavy Metal underground with this release. The album marks an exciting new chapter for REVIVER, featuring new additions to their lineup: accomplished drummer Leon Noë and veteran vocalist Michel Zandbergen. Zandbergen brings a wealth of experience to the band, having previously fronted Picture in the 1990s.

The current lineup of REVIVER consists of:

Michel Zandbergen (Vocals)
Fred Mantel (Guitars)
Tom Heemskerk (Guitars)
Leon Noë (Drums)
Stefan Brederode (Bass)

In fact, running Metal Express Radio takes almost all of his time. Is it worth it...? "Most times, yes," Stig says. "My philosophy is to try to give all Metal releases a fair chance to get promoted in one way or another. As you can imagine, it can be an arduous task to listen through about 20 albums every week! Still, I know we have the best METAL dedicated radio on this planet, and that is a reward in and of itself. I hope one day the whole Metal community can and will make listening to Metal Express Radio part of their daily rituals! Yeah, right..."
