For 25 years now, Metal Express Radio has been watching Lamb of God grow. There are probably a lot of Lamb Of God fans out there who don’t know that Lamb Of God was formerly known as Burn The Priest, but Metal Express Radio was there. Lamb of God were the new kids on the block, being a mere 20 years old as a recording band. Their “youthful” energy was prevalent and Randy Blythe’s manic growls literally shook the internal organs of the first 10 rows.
So here we are today, at The Great Saltair in Magna, UT on Aug 27, 2024, on the Ashes of Leviathan Tour. Lamb of God seems to just get stronger and performances more explosive that continue to work the crowd into a frenzy.
The setlist was just as perfect as the sun set over the Great Salt Lake. Opening the show with “Laid to Rest”, followed by a vast dip in to their music vault with songs such as “The Fadded Line”, “Blood of the Scribe”, “Ashes of the Wake” and “Redneck”.
In a 2015 interview with Revolver, Randy said “I’m not going to be doing this when I’m fucking 60 – no fucking way. We’re not the Stones”. If that’s the case, it’s going to be exciting to see what they bring over the remaining years.
