Metal Express Radio: Your band, A Killer’s Confession is set to release a new album entitled Victim 1 on September 13th, what can you tell fans about the upcoming release?
Reavis: I feel like this is a rebirth for the band. In my honest opinion, I feel this is the true first album of A Killer’s Confession. Fans can expect a new sound and a new direction as we dive into a concept of a killer who can’t find his place in the world.
MER: How was the writing and recording process having this being your fourth album with this band?
Reavis: This time went very smoothly. We didn’t come across any production problems as we wrote the album. The only thing that took time was keeping the lyrics on point.
MER: You’ve released three singles from the album so far, what kind of feedback have you been able to receive?
Reavis: The feedback has been nothing but positive.
MER: In the past, you’ve worked with artists such as Brian “Head” Welch of Korn, and Chad Gray of Mudvayne, is there anyone else you hope to work with?
Reavis: I would love to work with Maynard from Tool one day. I would also like to work with Tech9.
MER: What do you see as plans for you and your band after the album release?
Reavis: Continue to tour and work on the next album.
MER: Who do you hope to tour with and why?
Reavis: Rammstein or Tool they are just two of my favorite bands of all time and it would be nice to go out to see their shows night after night.
MER: Is there anywhere that’s your favorite to play live and why?
Reavis: The Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan. If you’ve ever been there, you understand why, and if you haven’t then you need to go.
MER: Is there anywhere that you haven’t played live yet that you hope to and why?
Reavis: I have never been to Europe to play yet and I am so excited to get the chance to go there one day.
MER: Do you feel fans of your previous bands will also be a fan of A Killer’s Confession?
Reavis: Yes, I feel my old fans are fans of what I do now.
MER: Out of your band’s four albums, what is one you would suggest to a new fan and why?
Reavis: Start with Victim 1. I’ve I feel in my humble opinion. This is the real first album of A Killer’s Confession.
