This week’s Guest DJ is guitarist, composer and owner of the Lion Music label, Lars Eric Mattsson!
We’ve known Lars for close to 20 years and it’s hard to believe this is only his second Guest DJ Show appearance! His first was in 2007 which was the year the Guest DJ Show was conceived and put into place so perhaps the show can consider him as one of our “founding fathers”!
“Lion Music was founded in 1989 as a production company for the composer and artist Lars Eric Mattsson to handle production and licensing businesses in Europe, USA and Asia. At that time it was never intended that Lion Music would become the record label that it has since evolved into.”
Lars is also an accomplished musician in his own right and has crafted too many albums to count! On September 6th, Lars will unleash his latest album, Burning Bridges which is a new 13 track album. It could be seen as a natural progression from last year’s release, Evolution, only taking things a bit further musically. “Several of the songs are embellished by strings, orchestral percussion, brass, woodwinds and huge vocals while some songs are really stripped down for contrast. Lars does not really limit himself by following the expectations of any certain musical genre rather than being his own genre.”
On the Guest DJ Show this Friday, Lars will play ten more influential/favorite tracks. After his playlist, we’ll play a block of music from that forthcoming album, Burning Bridges!
The Friday Guest DJ Hour Show airs at the following times:
15:00 and 21:00 Central Europe
9:00 am and 3:00 pm US East Coast
6:00 am and 12:00 pm US West Coast
