One of the most iconic bands of the 70s that paved the way with their sound, looks, and stage setup for bands like Judas Priest, UFO and Iron Maiden is still a force to be reckoned with. Sweet was wearing black leather and wristbands before it became the uniform for metal bands in the 70s and 80s, and still today. The great guitarist Andy Scott continues the legacy of Sweet with a brand new album which may be the final studio work from the band.
Metal Express Radio’s Bryce Van Patten had a chat with Andy Scott about the new album Full Circle on Metalville Records, the upcoming live shows this fall, as well as Andy’s feelings about a band that also carries the name Sweet, but has no connection to the original band.
Sweet is:
- Andy Scott – guitars / vocals
- Paul Manzi – lead vocals
- Lee Small – bass guitar / vocals
- Tom Cory – guitars / keys / vocals
- Adam Booth – drums / percussion
