PAUL DI’ANNO’S WARHORSE – Stop The War

The singer who needs no introduction, Mr. Paul Di’Anno of Iron Maiden fame has released a prequel EP by his new band Warhorse titled Stop The War on BraveWords Records. If the rest of the album is this good, he’s got a fantastic album on the way. The full Warhorse album will be released later in 2024, and was recorded during 2022 and 2023 in Croatia and the UK. The core band members are Paul Di’Anno on vocals, and Hrvoje Madiraca and Ante Pupačić Pupi on guitars.

Shades of Early Maiden

The first idea of forming a band arose in December 2021, when Paul and guitarist Hrvoje Madiraca met in Zagreb, Croatia. Paul Di’Anno on the release: “I’m looking forward to the digital release of “Stop the War”, “Warhorse” and “The Doubt Within” and I hope you like it. By my standards, too much time has passed since the recording of this album, and I can’t wait to finally have this record in my hands.”

For the last eight years, Paul faced serious health problems that almost ended his career. Thanks to his loyal fans, friends, Iron Maiden and his strong will to overcome the disease, Paul is back, and on a big world tour again to promote the album.

Final Notes

The first three songs are a great indicator that Paul Di’Anno still more than has what it takes to make great Heavy Metal music, and fans should be more than pleased with Warhorse. Paul’s voice is as strong as ever, the guitars are at times reminiscent of early Iron Maiden, and the the songs are all pure head bangers. A definite horns up for Paul Di’Anno’s Warhorse, and a must for all Heavy Metal fans!
