SCREAM MAKER – Land Of Fire

This month brings us the fourth release from Polish Heavy Metal group Scream Maker – Land of Fire on Frontiers Music s.r.l. records. Originally formed in Warsaw, Poland in 2010, the band consists of founding member guitarist Michał Wrona, vocalist Sebastian Stodolak, bassist Jan Radosz, drummer Tomek Sobieszek, and guitarist Bartosz Ziółkowski. Scream Maker plays a very melodic type of Heavy Metal that varies from crunchy riffs and aggressive vocals to anthemic lighter tunes.

About the Album

Following up to the 2022 release Blood King, the band has kept busy gigging, and by September, they were ready to begin work on Land of Fire. Though it’s uncertain who the producer was, the album sounds very slick. With 12 very strong songs (including a bonus acoustic version of “Way to the Moon”), Land of Fire delivers the goods. The precise guitar work of Michał Wrona and Bartosz Ziółkowski are dominant throughout the album, setting the stage with their intricate harmonies and powerful riffs that stick in your head. The expertly written and performed vocals of Sebastian Stodolak weave catchy melodies and powerful choruses on every track. Add to this the kick ass rhythm section of bassist Jan Radosz, and drummer Tomasz Sobieszek and you get a very good, and memorable album.

Final Notes

The bottom line for Scream Maker – Land of Fire, is evidence that a great band is on the rise in Poland. Scream Maker mix elements of Power Metal and Melodic Metal that blend perfectly to give us a tight, modern sound. This album grows on the listener with every playthrough, and so Land of Fire deserves a spot in your music collection.
