Progressive Melodic Metal band Pyramaze just released their latest album, Bloodlines. It is their seventh studio release overall, but the band’s second album under AFM Records. Produced by Jacob Hansen, the album is a natural continuation of Pyramaze’s previous release, Epitaph (2020), which Hansen produced as well. Bloodlines features guest appearances by Melissa Bonny from Ad Infinitum / The Dark Side of the Moon, Andrew Kingsley from Unleash the Archers, Olof Mörck from Amaranthe, and Tim Hansen; who is Kai Hansen’s son.

Lana Teramae of Metal Express Radio had a chat with keyboardist Jonah Weingarten about Bloodlines. They also discussed why the band prefers to play festivals instead of intensive tours, other projects Weingarten has going on outside of Pyramaze, and much more.

Band Lineup

Terje Harøy – lead vocals
Jacob Hansen – guitars and bass guitar
Jonah Weingarten – keyboards

She's always had a passion for music, but she didn't get into Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music until she discovered Rick Allen's story in the summer of 2019. She was inspired by his determination to play drums for Def Leppard again after losing his left arm in a car accident. From there, her tastes expanded to other bands such as AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Judas Priest, Saxon, Cinderella, and Overkill. Aside from listening to music, she loves watching YouTube and writing on her personal blog.
