All Hail The Queens
Crystal Viper front woman Marta Gabriel is set to release her first solo album on July 30, 2021 entitled Metal Queens. Just six months after releasing The Cult with her main band, Gabriel wanted to pay homage to some of the great female-fronted acts of the ’80s that inspired her. There are some familiar Heavy Metal names on this 11 track covers album (Lee Aaron, Chastain, Wendy O. Williams), and some obscure acts that you may be discovering for the first time (Blacklace, Zed Yago, Malteze). I had the chance to speak with Marta Gabriel ahead of the album’s release.
