Norwegian Glam is Back, For Now

Norway’s Wig Wam broke up in 2014 after 13 years and 5 studio albums together. Members of the band moved on to other projects. Time proves you can’t keep a good band down. On January 22, 2021, Wig Wam returns with their 6th album Never Say Die through Frontiers Music. I had the chance to speak with front man Åge Sten “Glam” Nilsen about the band’s past and future ahead of the album’s release.

Highlights include:

  • Reasons for Wig Wam break-up & reunion
  • Discussion of new album Never Say Die
  • Which Wig Wam album he’s not happy with
  • The future of Ammunition
  • How a project with Dan Reed lead to Nilsen’s first solo album
  • His past and current work with John Norum (Europe)
  • Working on music with the bassist of TNT’s daughter
  • … and much, much more!

Wig Wam is:

Åge Sten “Glam” Nilsen – Vocals
Trond “Teeny” Holter – Guitar
Bernt “Flash” Jansen – Bass
Oystein “Sporty” Andersen – Drums
