American Metal by way of Nashville
This past summer FnA Records released Come Hell or Hollywood 1981-1982 by Steeler. The compilation is a collection of pre-Yngwie Malmsteen demos recorded by the band while they were hungry for a record deal. Who better to break down this collection than Steeler front man Ron Keel? Together Ron and I discuss Steeler’s early beginnings, the release of their debut album, his transition to Keel, the formation of Ron Keel’s Fair Game, and his current ventures with the Ron Keel Band. We cover a lot of ground and Ron is a great storyteller. Enjoy.
Steeler 1981-1982 was:
Ron Keel – Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Michael Dunigan – Lead Guitar
Bobby Eva – Drums
Tim Morrison – Bass
Ron Keel Band 2020:
Ron Keel – Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
Geno Arce – Bass
Jeff Koller – Drums
“Dakota” Scott Schmitt – Keyboards
Dave “DC” Cothern – Lead Guitar
Great Interview. Ron always has great stories from the past.
Thank you
