CHRIS CAFFERY – The Jester’s Court

The Jesters Court is the sixth studio album by Chris Caffery.  Best known as the guitarist for Metal legends Savatage, and the mastermind behind the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Caffrey began playing the guitar at the age of eleven. After only 13 months he was so bored with guitar lessons that he decided to learn the instrument on his own. Caffery graduated from high school at the age of 16 and immediately became a professional musician. During the day he taught students and in the evening he was on stage. In addition to his many years with Savatage (since 1987) and TSO (since 1996), Chris Caffery has worked on numerous albums of renowned colleagues such as Doro, TM Stevens, Joe Lynn Turner and Circle II Circle. For The Jester’s Court,  Caffery provides lead and background vocals, lead and rhythm electric guitars, acoustic guitars, bass guitar,  and additional keyboards.

The album also includes  some high profile guests including Brian Tichy (Whitesnake, Billy Idol, Foreigner) – Drums, Alessandro Del Vecchio (Jorn, Voodoo Circle) – Keyboards and piano, Jane Mangini (TSO, Dee Snider, Joe Lynn Turner) – Keyboards and piano “Lost Tonite and “Protect My Soul”, Tony Dickinson (TSO) – Bass guitar “Lost Tonite”, “Protect My Soul”, “1989”, “Inside My Heart”,  Joel Hoekstra (Whitesnake, TSO, Night Ranger) – Guitar solo #3 “Lost Tonite”, Angus Clark (TSO, Kitaro) – Guitar solo #2 “Lost Tonite”, and the Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist Lonnie Park – Keyboards and Background vocals “Baby, You and I”.  If you are at all familiar with Chris Caffrey’s prolific body of work, The Jester’s Court will be a welcome addition to your collection.  If not, then Metal fans, particularly Epic Metal fans as sure to enjoy.
