For a Greek band, Dead South Dealers’ Walk Through The Line has a decidedly American sound, featuring a blend of Modern Hard Rock and Southern Rock vibes, all wrapped up with a slick, modern production. This is the act’s debut full-length release and it sounds and feels like some honest, hard work was put in.

While Walk Through The Line is very well put together, there is perhaps too much consistency within the songwriting, leaving the album as a whole feeling a bit shallow in terms of style. Furthermore, this release leans heavily into the Modern Hard Rock genre, which at this point is largely directionless. The average Heavy Metal listener may find this release a bit too lacking in classic influences in favor of Rock Radio friendly tracks.

Generally speaking, fans of Modern Rock acts like Breaking Benjamin and the like will probably enjoy this album, but its reach will be limited to the more pedestrian listeners.
