ADRENALINE MOB – We The People

We The People is the third full length studio release from New York City based Hard Rock/Metal supergroup Adrenaline Mob.  Vocalist Russell Allen (Symphony X) and virtuoso shredder Mike Orlando form the core of this group, which has featured members of other legendary bands including Drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold, Winery Dogs), Drummer AJ Pero (Twisted Sister), Bassist John Moyer (Disturbed) and Bassist Paul DiLeo (Fozzy) to name but a few.  Current Bassist David (Dave Z) Zablidowsky (Trans Siberian Orchestra, Jeff Scott Soto) and relative newcomer Drummer Jordan Cannata round out the current line up, and the band is impressive to say the least.

We The People comes out swinging with the first single released, “King Of The Ring”, a full tilt fight song, and there is barely a place to take a breath.  Every song is a pedal to the metal rocker. Even the 2 “slow” songs, “Bleeding Hands” and “Blind Leading The Blind” can barely escape the high energy pace of the aptly named Adrenaline Mob. The record is, in a word, great.  There are so many great songs, great riffs, great melodies and such chops from every player.  Songs like “The Killer Inside”, “Chasing Dragons” and “Raise Em Up” belong on the radio with the best new music being released today.  They only minor downside to the album is “Rebel Yell”, which isn’t bad at all — a solid, respectable cover — and perhaps if it was live, or a fantastic reinterpretation, like Van Halen’s “Pretty Woman” or Judas Priest’s “Green Manalishi”, it would have been worthy of inclusion.  Its simply a good cover of a great song, and as the 13^th track on a CD already over an hour long, it’s unnecessary.

Rock, Metal, and of course, Adrenaline Mob fans will love this record.
