( votes)Cleveland, Ohio has been the king of sports lately. But query the city’s music scene and you’ll find these five members on the royal court. Wretch has been around for decades but has become quite active in recent years with success in Europe. They’ve got plenty of Traditional Metal sound and have honed it further with new vocalist Juan Ricardo.
The Hunt plays like a good novel with intervals of suspense, action, and rest. Although not billed as a concept album, it progresses through medieval and mythical imagery. There are a lot of catchy tracks — notably “Throne Of Poseidon” — and a couple classical guitar instrumentals. One of those, “Fortune’s Fool”, superbly transitions into the speedy-riff storyline of “The King In Red”. The Hunt could be a little tighter, but is still loyal to its genre and would make a fine addition to your Metal weaponry.
